Dr. David Rotman teaches Jewish and comparative Folklore at Tel Aviv university, at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and was lately appointed as the chair of the new Folklore-Studies division of Achva Academic College. He was also a Post Doctoral Fellow at the Katz Centre of Advance Judaic Studies and at the Open University. His main research interest is with Medieval, Early Modern and Modern Hebrew folk Narratives. He published several articles about these subjects. His book, Dragons, Demons and Magical Realms: the Marvelous in the Medieval Hebrew Narrative" was published at 2016 by Ben Gurion University Press.
